Hi! I'm Kennith. I've been in college for computer programming for the better part of two years now, but unfortunately my college doesn't offer computer science. And getting jobs without that degree is pretty tough!
So instead of spending my time getting more debt and making endless console apps, I decided to do something else!
...Introducing Click that Cat!
If it doesn't look as exciting as I feel to be showing it off right now, that's to be expected, since I just started working on it an entire 24 hours ago in Unity. So far, all it has is two upgrades, a clickable cat (which meows, with several different sounds), a working menu (with volume sliders! wow!), royalty free background music, and auto-saving. By all intents and purposes, it's playable! But certainly not the super duper fun experience I plan to make it.
The art and scripting is all be done by me (including the background, which is a hold-over from a previous game idea I had). Next on my agenda is adding in a way to purchase different cat types. That's the feature I'm most looking forward to! I'm sure it won't be too complicated.
I'm starting on an incremental game in the hopes that it'll be a little easier to work on as my first project, since I didn't cover much apart from math and menus in my courses. Any suggestions and feedback are totally, very very appreciated!
If you'd like to try the game out as it is right now, then there's a download link (clickable). Be warned that it's very, very early in development! If you do decide to take a look and notice any bugs, feel free to let me know! I'd greatly appreciate it [:
Anyways, I'll be back to update you all once I have some more added! Fingers crossed, it'll be a second cat!
